Job Objective:
The role is a working Group Leader that directs workers responsible for inventory and kitting. The Stockroom Group Leader will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Core Areas of responsibility: Stocking of all incoming raw material, kitting of work order jobs in line with production schedule, and Inventory accuracy of all raw material.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all material received from suppliers and production floor are accurately stocked in a timely manner
- Ensure all work orders are kitted in a timely manner in line with production schedule / kit dates in EVO.
- Establish and execute cycle count schedule in compliance with the corporate accounting objectives
- Coordinate and oversee the daily cycle counts of the various inventory assets
- Investigate, identify, and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages
- Monitor the process to help identify paperwork errors and other inconsistencies that affect the accuracy of the inventories
- Manage the inventory areas by organizing and maintaining efficient material handling and storage
- Maintain cycle count records so that they can be reviewed by management, and provide the reports related to cycle count activity
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures related to inventory control.
- Conduct periodic physical inventories and ensure that the investment in inventory is maintained at optimum levels.
- Prepare reports of inventory balance and use computer applications along with database management to perform the assigned work effectively.
- Track and interpret variances in the inventory to facilitate better planning and correct any issues that may arise.
